About ESRA

ESRA – UPPER MIDWEST CHAPTER

We are a regional chapter of English Springer Rescue America, Inc., a referral and foster care purebred placement organization and a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. We provide foster care to Springers relinquished by their guardians or impounded by humane societies, private shelters, and animal control facilities nationwide, as well as to offer adoption referral services for those agencies. The Upper Midwest chapter serves the areas of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Nationally, in 2010, ESRA assissted 1836 Springer Spaniels. In the Upper Midwest, we assisted 150 Springers alone.

WHY ADOPT A RESCUED SPRINGER SPANIEL?

By adopting through ESRA, you have the assurance that the dog has been vetted, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and personality screened to fit your lifestyle.

Frequently, rescued dogs may already be housetrained. Even adult dogs, with little experience living inside a home, are surprisingly easy to train. You can teach an old dog new tricks (and usually easier than training a puppy!)

Springers that are adopted develop close bonds to their new guardians and make wonderful companions and family members. They are eager to learn the ways of their new home.
